Zwarte Zee

We are one of the most beautiful spots of Ghent - 'Graslei' . This street run along the banks of the old harbour on the Leie River. Grasleiharbor means 'street of the herbs and vegetables'. On the corner of Grasleiharbor there is cozy terrace and a small café, called "Zwarte Zee"(Black see) .You can enjoy the wonderful view or if rapidly changing Belgian weather getting too nasty ;) go inside and enjoy your snack or drink, including all sorts of the most fine Belgian beer and of course a bit of vodka.;)
The name of the café is not just a coincidence. Andrey -very good friend of mine, who runs the place, was born in Northern Crimea (now part of Ukraine) on the beautiful Laguna of Black See, called "Chernomorskoe". http://chernomorsk.narod.ru/index.html I used to go there for summer vocations in my childhood - it's a very lovely spot with the sand beach and a calm blue water.

Andrey Kipkalov is full on sunshine and energy

This is his lovely wife

Me and Olga Eldarova (very fine harp player) got drunk on vodka and were dancing on "Manu Ciao" until almost drooped on a floor :)
